PROGRAMS - YOUTH

MEET OUR YOUTH & SPORTS DIRECTOR
Dania Ashby, a 2003 graduate of East Stroudsburg University, majored in Recreation and Leisure Services Management, and interned at Hempfield Rec the summer of 2003. She has a solid background in working with kids and sports, including Easter Seals, YMCA's Kids Klub, West Manchester Parks & Recreation, and a work-study with East Stroudsburg University's Sports Information Office. After graduation, she also spent two years programming for the Eastern York Area Recreation Commission and is fully certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid. She is an active member of the Pennsylvania Recreation & Park Society, and newly developed Youth Sports Task Force Team. Dania is in charge of HARC's youth, teen and sports programs, as well as the summer camps and special events. She loves playing soccer and enjoys baseball, volleyball and kickball! Yes, she is on a kickball team in York. In case you're wondering, Dania was named after a town in Florida - the same town where the sports game Jai-Alai became so popular. She had to end up in the sports field!
