Summer Playground

FUN IN THE SUN!
Summer Playground has been an ongoing tradition for children ages 6-14 in the Hempfield School District for the past 31 years. Fill your child's summer vacation with fun, exciting and safe activities all close to your home! Summer Playground offers on-site tournaments, special events and arts and crafts every day. Each week is a different pre-planned theme week, including many creative explorations during which children will learn and enjoy themselves.   • $75 YM/$85 R/$105 NR for 8-week program Silver Spring location only
  • Registration is accepted throughout the summer at the Hempfield Rec Center only.
  • No registration is accepted on Playground sites.

PLAYGROUND SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships for 2009 are available. To qualify, the child must reside within the Hempfield School District and meet the scholarship's criteria. Please call Traci at 898-3102, ext. 39, to request an application.

GAMES NEEDED!
Do you have new or usable sports equipment, games, children’s videos or DVD’s (G-rated) or other items that could be used by our Summer Playground and Day Camp programs? Other needs include televisions, DVD players, game tables, etc. Help us serve the children of our community and clean out your closets at the same time!
