Aquatics - Hempfield Stingrays Summer Swim Team
Boys and girls ages 5–18 that are able to swim a length of the pool are invited to join the summer swim team. Swimmers participate in a spirited and friendly environment in which they learn sportsmanship, enjoy the camaraderie of their teammates, and improve their stroke techniques. Practices begin in the evenings the last two weeks of May and continue on weekday mornings through July. Swim meets against other Lancaster Summer Swim League teams are scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and the occasional weekend. Pre-Season Practices (HARC Pool)
Mon., May 24–27, Tues., June 1–4, Mon., June 7–14 All practices are 5:30–7p.m. During these practices, the indoor pool will be closed for Family Swim with no lap swimming.
Regular practice schedule will begin Tuesday, June 15 at 8 a.m. The entire pool is closed from 8–10 a.m. Mon.–Fri. Season ends 7/31/2010. There are four home swim meets during which the indoor pool will close at 4:45 p.m. and the outdoor pools will close at 5 p.m. All water exercise classes are cancelled at these times.
