Aquatics - Hempfield Stingrays Summer Swim Team
Boys and girls, ages 5-18, that are able to swim a length of the pool are invited to join the summer swim team. Swimmers participate in a spirited and friendly environment in which they learn sportsmanship, enjoy the camaraderie of their teammates, and improve their stroke techniques. Practices begin in the evenings during the week of May 21 and continue on weekday mornings through July. Swim meets against other Lancaster Summer Swim League teams are scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and the occasional weekend. For additional information Larisa Garpstas at 475-1618.

Registrations will be on Thurs., April 26 from 6-8 p.m., Sat., May 5 from 10 a.m.-noon. All registrations will be received in the pool area. These two registration dates will be the only dates to try on swim suits and spirit wear. Fees needed are a swim team fee and the cost of being a Hempfield Rec Center member to participate in this program. The Swim Team Fee is $65 early-bird (register by May 23); $80 fee after May 23. Information and membership applications will be available at each of the registration sessions regarding Hempfield Rec Center summer swim team membership. Any swimmer who is not a Hempfield Rec Center member will not be permitted to attend swim practices or meets until membership is taken care of.
