Aquatics - Lifeguard Training
GUARD START A JUNIOR LIFEGUARDING PROGRAM FOR 11 TO 14 YEAR OLDS
Guard Start allows 11-14 year olds to experience what it requires to be a Lifeguard. It covers four basic challenges that a Lifeguard deals with daily: accident prevention, emergency response, leadership & getting/staying fit. This program lets your pre-teen to try on the Lifeguarding Experience to see if Lifeguarding is right for them. This class includes a Guard Start t-shirt.

- Meeting dates are: Feb. 4, 11, 18, and 25; 4:30-6:30 p.m.
- CPR/FPR-AED, First Aid: Sat., March 3; 1-6:30 p.m., March 10, 17, 24; 4:30–6:30 p.m.
- Fee: $100 M/120 NM (indicate t-shirt size on form)
AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD TRAINING
Designed for the strong swimmer. Participants must attend all classes and successfully complete all skills and written testing. Class size is limited. Pre-registratio required by 3/30. Course descriptio/class schedule can be obtained by calling 898-3102, ext. 37, after 3/1. Participants must be 15 years old before class completion of proof of age is required.

AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD TRAINING REVIEW
Designed for those currently certified in Lifeguard Training but whose certification will soon lapse. Participants are required to bring their own pocket mask and have a current Lifeguard/ CPR certificate. Class size is limited. Pre-registration is required by Friday, 5/11. Please note that in accordance with American Red Cross requirements, this course in all-inclusive. Participants may not take individual
components of this course. Please see information that follows regarding a separate CPR/AED course for those needing only that component.

AMERICAN RED CROSS CPR FOR THE PROFESSIONAL AND AED REVIEW
Designed specifically for those currently certified in Lifeguard Training but whose CPR for the Professional Rescuer and AED certification component will soon expire. Participants are required to have a current CPR/FPR/AED certificate. Class size is limited to 12. Pre-registration is required and must be received by Friday 5/11.
