Aquatics - Lifeguard Training

AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD TRAINING REVIEW
This course is designed for those currently certified in Lifeguard Training but whose certification will soon lapse. The course allows those currently certified to review their skills and update their certification. Participants are required to bring their own pocket mask and have a current Lifeguard/CPR certificate. Class size is limited. Pre-registration is required by Nov. 15. Please note that in accordance with American Red Cross requirements, this course is all inclusive. Participants may not take individual components of this course. Please see information that follows regarding a separate CPR/AED course for those needing only that component.

  • Participants must register in person at HARC and provide copies of current certificates for all course components. Certificates may not be expired more than one year to be eligible to take this review.

AMERICAN RED CROSS CPR for the PROFESSIONAL AND AED REVIEW
This course is designed specifically for those currently certified in Lifeguard Training but whose CPR for the Professional Rescuer and AED certification component will soon expire. The course allows those currently certified to review their skills and update their CPR/FPR/AED certification. Class size is limited to 14.

  • Fee: $60
  • Participants must register in person before Mon., Nov. 8 at HARC and provide a copy of their current certificate. A certification may not be expired more than one year to be eligible to take this review.

AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD TRAINING
Lifeguard Training is designed for the strong swimmer. Participants must attend all classes and successfully complete all skills and written testing. Class size is limited. Pre-registration is required by Monday, Dec. 13, 2010. Detailed course description and class schedule can be obtained by calling the HARC Aquatic Office at 898-3102, ext. 37 after Oct. 1. Participants must be 15 years of age before completion of the class–proof of age is required. There will be a $25 administrative fee assessed for anyone withdrawing from the course within five (5) days of the start of the course.
